How to make a multitool with the keys
Hello my dear friends! In today’s video I’m going to show you how to make a multitool with the keys. I think that everyone is tired of the bunches of keys in a pocket, as these rings always disturb and bring inconveniences.
First, we need a piece of tin-plate, I took a thick tin, a lid from an old DVD-ROM. If you haven’t got such lid, you may take a tin from a can. We also need two bolts with screws, I took 6 keys and a wooden ruler. It’s not compulsory to use a wooden ruler, you may cut any piece of wood with the nice structure, as we are going to make beautiful cover plates. To improve the color of wood I’m going to use stain.
First thing we have to do is to cut out two tin stripes. Take a wooden ruler, draw a double line till the mark 9 cm and cut with scissors.
Put keys on a metal plate matching the teeth. I’ve got 6 keys, so there are 3 keys on each side. Draw the line around them with maker, and cut out two plates identically.
Make two holes in each plate and start making wooden cover plates. In conclusion, we have to stick the cover plates with an epoxide tar. As I’m showing you an example and not to wait till epoxide tar to dry, I’ll temporary stick it with a hot-melt glue. Then, polish it with an emery paper and cover with stain. Multitool for 6 keys is ready.
In order to pick a needed key, you just have to shake a hand once and choose the key you need. Try not to twist screws too much to let the keys move easily. Also I recommend you to make it more careful, estimate size accurately. You may dye the covers with the paint of one color, or polish them, or even burn out a unique name with the burner. That’s all for now. Thank you all for your attention. Don’t forget to estimate the video as it helps to improve the channel, and subscribe, if you haven’t done it yet. Bye-bye everyone!
